If you have ever received an email saying you've won
a lottery, avoid it like the plague.
The lottery winner email will look something like this,
"Your email address came up and your eligible for 1.1
Million euros". So what their saying is they picked your
email address amongst the people on the globe, how lucky
are you.
So again I follow this scam to see what you need to do and
how much "money" this could cost you. It's rather a long
message, but if you follow it thru they ask you to email this
person who is in charge. You must give them a long authorization
number, your name, address, country you live in. Then the next
email you get will be of this format, they want you to open a
bank account,[usually in the Netherlands] so they can transfer
the money from the lottery. Now if you break down the money
they ask for in euros, it comes to several thousands dollars in
US money.
The lottery winner is a true scam, usually from the Netherlands
an the UK. After all this I emailed these people and told them
I was aware of their scam, never heard from them.
If you become a lottery winner, it won't be thru the internet, but
a ticket you bought here in the good old USA.
