I can't believe I'm writing a review on the Better
Business Bureau, but there are some things you
need to know.
Most people are of the opinion that the BBB is
linked to some government agency, could not be
further from the truth. You notice when you enter
a business, some where on the wall is the certificate,
member of the Better Business Bureau since 1985.
This looks impressive to the customer, but after
looking into this, I was not sure how much info
they needed about your business, or was it really
the several hundred dollars they wanted from you.
The Better Business Bureau seems to operate just
like the "hoods" from the era of Al Capone, they
come by your business and strong arm you for a
weekly donation, and say they will protect you.
Keep in mind the BBB is just like any other business,
their in it for a profit, but they'll have you thinking
otherwise. You'll receive a letter in the mail asking
to join, they make you feel like it's your civic duty,
and by the way, if you refuse, I wonder if they would
give you a good recommendation, ( doubt it).
Yes, Mr. Jones has been a member with us for the past
15 years, or, he is not a member with the Better Business
Bureau, we don't know anything about his business. Get
the picture, no I do not recommend the BBB!
